Live and Learn Staff
includes: Director, Resource Facilitator, Receptionist/Administrative Assistant, Toy Library Coordinator, and Resource Workers. Our staff includes Early Childhood Educators and other qualified professionals, as well as parents and caregivers who live locally and who not only deliver our services but receive them also.

Maria
Director
Maria has been working with young children for over 20 years. She is Director of all 3 programs under the umbrella of Rural Family Connections Co-op Inc.: Live and Learn Resource Centre, Metcalfe Home Daycare, and Metcalfe Co-op Nursery School. Time spent teaching in the nursery school, visiting providers in their home, and working on the floor in the resource centre, keeps her in touch with the children and the staff. She is dedicated to the idea of a “hub” of services easily accessible to families in this rural area.
 
 
Allison
Toy Library Coordinator and Resource Worker
Allison has made Metcalfe her home since 1988. With her Developmental Service Worker and Early Childhood Education background, she has been involved in the lives of many area children. Allison has raised three children of her own and been a childcare provider both through the Metcalfe Home Daycare and privately since 1990. She is a Teacher at Metcalfe Co-op Nursery School, where she has taught for 15 years and has been with Live and Learn since the very beginning.
 
Leigh
Administrative Assistant
Leigh has been a resident of Osgoode for 11 years, and provided home child care through the Metcalfe Home Day Care for 3 years. After joining the Metcalfe Home Day Care as Administrative Assistant in 2000, she became involved in the steering committee for Live and Learn Resource Centre, and is now the Administrative Assistant for this new and exciting venture.
 
Donna
Resource Worker
Donna has been a resident of Osgoode Ward her entire life.  She is married with three children, living in Kenmore. Her 8 year old daughter and 5 year old son went to Metcalfe Co-op Nursery School. Her 2 year old will attend next fall. In addition to being a stay at home mom, she is also a caregiver, works at Live and Learn, and volunteers as a Spark leader and for Metcalfe ringette.

Marlene
Resource Worker
Marlene has lived in Metcalfe for 20 years. An Early Childhood Educator, Marlene has worked with young children and their families for the past 18 years as Program Assistant at Metcalfe Co-operative Nursery School, Teacher at St. Thomas the Apostle Nursery School and Director at The Orleans Preschool. She is presently a Resource Worker at the Live & Learn Resource Centre as well as a Home Visitor and Parent Educator (Parents as Teachers program) with Metcalfe Home Day Care.
