After attending for 3 years my son truly felt at home there and always looked forward to going. He has made many friends along the way and it was amazing seeing him blossom into who he is today. For me as the parent I felt a sense of community. I have made many friendships with parents and the teachers. The teachers always gave me support and knowledge I needed as a first time parent. I would truly recommend sending your child there. ”

“We moved to Metcalfe two years ago and we were delighted to learn that it had a nursery school. We enrolled our son in the preschool program last year and it exceeded our expectations. The teachers are all kind, and thoughtful and provide individualized care to the children. They give us regular updates on how our child is doing and what he is learning. Going to school soon became the highlight of our son’s week. We often struggle to convince him to come home at the end of the day because he just wants to stay and play with his friends. Our son often comes home eager to show us newly acquired skills that he learned at school. We did not hesitate to enroll him for another year. During the summer break, not a day went by that he did not ask to go to « school » and we were grateful to be able to enroll him in Kindercamp. The Metcalfe Nursery School has meant so much to our son and we feel so lucky to have access to such a wonderful place.”

“My son and I often attend playgroups put on through Rural Family connections. Over the years we have went to both the indoor ones and the outdoor ones in the park. Both are amazing! We love making new friends, seeing old friends and of course meeting with the ECE who always have fun activities for the kids! As a stay-at-home mother I feel like playgroups are not only important for child socialization but also provide me the opportunity to meet and chat with other parents and caregivers. We would recommend trying one in your neighborhood or even drive a bit further and try a new one! They are always worth the visit.”

“We would like to thank the Rural Family Connections Team for their support and always being approachable and for clarifying things when needed.
We really loved working with our Childcare Provider. I liked how gentle and patient she is with the children. As a parent, I was anxious after maternity leave sending my infant to childcare. But all my fears were dissolved as the Childcare Provider and my daughter clicked from day one. Both my children did not have a single hard day with our Childcare Provider. I also loved how our Childcare Provider is so amazing in giving daily reports about how the day was with the children. She would also send pictures and videos regularly. One thing that makes me smile every time is how Concerned she is in the morning during drop off as she asks if the children had anything to eat.
It is only because we are moving that we have to end care but if it was up to me, she would be our care giver of choice for a long time. If all your Providers are like our Childcare Provider, you have a wonderful and dependable team and we appreciate it.”

"Our Home Childcare Provider goes above and beyond taking care of my son who is 16 months, walking, and always busy with energy. The provider is an excellent daycare provider, she is extremely caring, patient and dedicated to the kids in her care, her meals are always full of nutritious and delicious ingredients for the kids. This summer she was the most important support for my family, as my husband who works for the military was deployed leaving me to deal with everything alone. The provider not only supported taking care of my child and accommodating my work schedule but she was a very important emotional support for me.
